Persica, a young woman living in rural Georgia in the late 1960s has her perfect little life disrupted when her boyfriend, Corey, is drafted to the Vietnam war through the racist practices of their local draft board. She tells this story, years later, to her 10-year-old child, in a way that is easy for him to understand.
